Terminal Emulation->Selecting a Primary Serial Port

The primary serial port is the serial port that will be opened first (if available) and is the serial port that will be used for program and file download if it is open and if the active window is not a serial port window.  If the active window is a serial port window, then the serial port for this active window will be used for program and file download.

To select the primary port, select Settings from the Comms menu and select the Serial Port Options tab in the window that opens.  Select the serial port that you wish to be the primary serial port from the drop down list.
