The simulator/debugger operates in conjunction with the Embedded Development Studio and integrates seamlessly with it. The simulator also co-operates with a set of extensions which provide support for the different ARM variants and for custom specific features that might simulate any features external to the microcontroller.

The following paragraphs provide an overview of how the various components work together.
