Simulating

Use the Go command to start or continue the simulation session.  The program will execute until a breakpoint is reached or until you halt execution with the halt simulation command or close the simulator with the Close Simulator command.

The simulation session will proceed without any windows or status line indicators changing.  The activity windows will however be updated.

To observe the changes in the windows and status line as simulation proceeds, use the Trace command.

On-chip Debugging

Use the Go command to start or continue the debugging session.  The program will execute until a breakpoint is reached or until you halt execution with the halt debugger command or close the debugger with the Close Debugger command.

The debugging session will proceed without any windows or status line indicators changing.

To observe the changes in the windows and status line as debugging proceeds, use the Trace command.
