Using the Custom AppWizard or Project Template->Installing the Visual Studio Project Template

To install the Visual Studio 2017 Project Template copy <Crossware Installation Directory>\8051\bin\8051VwExtension.zip to
Documents\Visual Studio 2017\Templates\ProjectTemplates.

where <Crossware Installation Directory> is the directory into which you have installed the Crossware Embedded Development Studio.
