Code Creation Wizards->Changing Variants
If you change from one chip variant to another (by selecting a different family member or a different family) then the environment may swap the xstdsys.c and xstdsys.h files for alternative versions. All of your previous configuration code will not be lost though because the original xstdsys.c and xstdsys.h files will be saved in your project directory using names that the environment will recognise if you later change back to the same variant.
If you change to a variant that does not support Code Creation Wizards from one that does, xstdsys.c and xstdsys.h will remain in your project unchanged.
