Overview->Running the Virtual Workshop in Remote Debugger Mode

To turn the Virtual Workshop into a remote debugger, simply select Use Remote Debugger from the Simulate menu.  The Simulate menu will then become a Debug menu.

Running the debugger just like running the simulator with Go, Step Into, Set Breakpoint at Cursor, etc.  Instead of loading the program into memory, the Virtual Workshop will open a serial port and download the program to your target board.

The serial port opened by the debugger is chosen and set up in exactly the same way as when you open a serial port from the Comms menu.

To change back to simulate mode, select Use Simulation from the Debug menu.
