Supported ARM Variants - Development Suite for ARM

The Development Suite for ARM can be used to generate code for all ARM7, ARM9 and Cortex-M3 microcontrollers and to simulate the instruction set of the ARM core. However the Development Suite for ARM provides a lot more than that. It provides on-chip debugging, on-chip peripheral simulation, code creation wizards for the on-chip peripherals, startup files, header files, etc. Features vary from variant to variant and require specific support files and, most importantly, a variant specific extension program (DLL) which transparently extends the development environment.
